Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

True or False

True or False
by Heather Collver

Have you ever heard something that just didn't seem right? Or have you believed something that seemed to be true that was an outright lie? What about yourself; have you ever said anything that was not true or lead others to believe something other than the truth?

Micah, a prophet, heard directly from the Lord. He knew God's ways, He was set apart to bring God's word to His people. Did he take his job seriously? Did he alter a few things here and there? No. Micah was a man of integrity. He spoke against those who claimed to be prophets of the Lord, especially those who lead with false hopes and further errors. He loved the Lord with all his heart.

Now the night will close around you,
cutting off all your visions.
Darkness will cover you,
putting an end to your predictions.
The sun will set for you prophets,
and your day will come to an end. Micah 3:6

He didn't sugar coat it or make it easy to hear for everyone listening. He called out those who were false and he made it known to him that God's wrath was near.

My husband and I have owned a professional Photography business for almost 13 years now. There have been many photographers that have claimed to "know" photography in that time. They will display one or two of their best photos in order to get bookings. Soon they begin to loose popularity or business because others find out that they really don't have the experience or the knowledge to produce great photos. You can say whatever you want, but the proof is in the action, the end result. This is similar in just about any trade, profession, or even hobby I am sure. There are those that are true and those that are false. As a true prophet, I am sure it angered Micah that others were speaking false words in the name of his Lord. I am sure that he came up on some pretty strong opposition from others. I am sure that if others were willing to falsely prophesy they were probably willing to defend themselves dishonestly.

What events have occurred in your life that have caused you to want to change the way things are? What is going on around you that just isn't right? Just isn't true? Have you caused any hardships for others through lies? It's best to make it right now. Commit to right your wrongs today and to be honest in all you do.

Dear Lord, thank you for bringing this Micah to our attention. I have enjoyed reading all 7 chapters of the Book of Micah. I pray that your heart will be revealed to us this week, that we may honor you in truth. Help us to be willing to make things right, putting off all falsehood so that we can live in perfect harmony with you. Because evil will separate us from you, I pray that none of us will ever be separated from you. Amen

Falsehood is not so bad, is it? Let's see what the bible says:
Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Revelation 22:15

If I despise those who are sexually immoral and murderers among the others listed, then I myself must put off all falsehood.

Please continue to pray for Kim H this week. Also lift up Stacy M. in your prayers.
