Who is like the Lord
by Heather Collver
Who is like the Lord? Micah was an Old Testament prophet and probably a farmer or a herdsman in the land of Moresheth, near Gath, a town in Judah. He was the author of the Book of Micah. Micah was a courageous spokesman for the Lord.
What did he do:
Micah was a strong spokesman for the poor, spoke against false prophets, and loved the Lord.
Other than writing the Book of Micah, he is known best for the prophecy of the birth of the Messiah in Bethlehem. Micah taught on both God's wrath and God's love.
Dear Lord, thank you for teaching us how we can stand firm when there are so many against us. Help us to know your word so that we can recognize when things that have been foretold are coming to pass. Help us to be sensitive to your Word so that we can interpret it as it was intended and help us to understand your wrath, grace and mercy. Help us to be a loving people who want to honor you. Amen.
Please pray for Kim H this week. Please also pray for Stacy M. she is struggling with a major life change right now and needs us to lift her up in prayer.
Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.
Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.
