Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Zeal, Day 1

Zeal, Day 1

Zeal

Enthusiastic Devotion
Eager Desire
Single-minded Allegiance

Where is your enthusiastic devotion? What are you eagerly desiring? Where is your allegiance?

1 Kings 8:23 and he prayed,“O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.

Titus 2:12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

1 Kings 8:58 May he give us the desire to do his will in everything and to obey all the commands, decrees, and regulations that he gave our ancestors.

Psalm 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you?I desire you more than anything on earth.

1 Peter 3:13 Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?

Please join with me in praying for Kelly H. (IA), this week.

Dear Lord,
I like this new 4-letter word. It can be a blessing or a blinder. So Lord, I pray that we will have an enthusiastic devotion to you (not anyone else or any other thing), one that gives life to the dead and brings forth fruitfulness. Lord, I pray that we will eagerly desire to serve you and follow your ways (instead of be paralyzed by fear for the unknown), no matter the pain and tears we must face. No matter the persecution. As long as we are a good witness of what you have done in our lives and eagerly and enthusiastically share what you have done in our lives, I am certain you will be pleased. I pray Lord that we will not miss the most important part of your message while you were here as man; that you came to save us from ourselves and that we must believe in you and turn from our ways. Lord, I pray we will have a single-minded allegiance to you and none other. That you, above all, will be our hope, our future, our desire.
