Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Father - God

God as our father. Spiritually he desires that we have a relationship with him.

He protects and rescues His children when they are in trouble
Isaiah 63:15 Lord, look down from heaven;
look from your holy, glorious home, and see us.
Where is the passion and the might
you used to show on our behalf?
Where are your mercy and compassion now?
16 Surely you are still our Father!
Even if Abraham and Jacob[a] would disown us,
Lord, you would still be our Father.
You are our Redeemer from ages past.

He teaches us the way we should go.
Hosea 11:1-7

He supplies our needs.
Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

He expects His children to honor him, although he doesn't always receive it.
Mal 1:6 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to the priests: “A son honors his father, and a servant respects his master. If I am your father and master, where are the honor and respect I deserve? You have shown contempt for my name!
“But you ask, ‘How have we ever shown contempt for your name?’

Reverence and honor is defined by Jesus in the way he taught his disciples to pray.
Matthew 6:8-9....
8Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! 9 Pray like this:

Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy....

Dear Lord, I pray that your name is always kept holy. That we would strive to honor you as our Father and that we would accept you as our Father by abiding in all your ways. Lord I pray we are a people who are willing to put you first and that we will be forever in relationship with you. Thank you for protecting us, teaching us, knowing and providing our needs and answering our prayers with a yes, no or maybe later. I love you, thank you for being my daddy.

Praise and Prayer

Please continue to pray for Erika M.

Also, please pray for Linda W, and her mother, Carolyn, who is back in the hospital with complications from recent surgery.

Please continue to pray for Joanne, she is through week one of Chemo, yeah. We met with doctor Thursday and he said that if the chemo takes, we are looking at 1 1/2 - 2 years with her. She says she will be around longer, what a great attitude. Please continue to pray for all the details.

Praise, my cousin Nicole is here in Oregon, early. This means all the grand kids could be together with grandma again at the same time. Pray for the relationships. Thanks.

Please pray for my dad's salvation....Jewish and does not understand the need for a savior. Also praise God for the work He is doing in my husband's life as a father. Pray for him to continue to grow spiritually as he is working 7 days a week until September.

Greetings,
We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful 4th of July weekend. We arrived home that day. Ally, Phil and Kd came for a couple days.
I apologize for the delay in updating. We had our phone, cable and web access stopped while in Seattle, and haven't had them restored yet. This is the first time I have been at a computer since arriving home.
Mike is doing well. Cherry, MD is hesitant about removing the Hickman catheter with a blood clot on the end which ends in the heart. (One can understand why!) Mike needs blood tests weekly for awhile, so we will see when he just needs them monthly. (It does save a poke in the arm.)
His red blood count and platelets are still coming up. The white blood count (esp. neutrophils) are doing okay. Other white counts not quite to normal yet, but are sure they will be soon.
We still stay away from crowds, but have enjoyed visits on a one-on-one basis from friends.
We want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and well wishes. We pray for the outcome we want, but sometimes it is the opposite. One thing we can be sure of is God's divine plan, and pray that His providential will be done. We are blessed to have Mike with us. If indeed God's head is turned with intercessory prayers, I believe it was in Mike's healing as he had so many odds against him from medical decisions made at the onset.
I will continue to update periodically, and we are especially waiting for Day 100 as anything else that may appear should appear by that date.
May God bless and keep you, Our love, mike and marilyn
