Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Testimony Day 2 and 3

Testimony Day 2 and 3

Sharing your faith through your life story
Past Present and Future

Jesus said, "When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection." Acts 1:8 TLB

We have the power of the Holy Spirit to testify with great effect!

So why don't we use it?

Fear, emotions, fear, fear fear.

Did I mention that fear might be a big part of our lack of sharing our relationship with God to all who can see and hear us? Is it a big surprise that we are all just a little fearful when it comes to sharing our faith? Do thoughts of your inability, lack of wisdom cloud your head? Do thoughts of street corners and strange people yelling your fate if you don't believe stop you from being a light to others?

God has gifted all of us with different abilities, but he has given all of us the power to testify through the Holy Spirit. We are not asked to do it on the street corner. In fact, I believe we are supposed to do it through relationships. We are called to share God's love with people we know, those who trust us. When we share in a relationship, it would be attended to just as it would any other topic, with interest.

Before you attempt to share your faith relationally, through your past, the present or the future, you may want to take a moment to think about these questions.

What do you believe? Which of these beliefs is essential for a relationship with God?

Which topics can you give testimony to? Consider end times, worship style, or baptism. All these topics can confuse and misguide others instead of bring them to God.

It always amazes me when I hear others say that they don't know if certain friends or family are Christians. It is only through relationships that we will know the answers to those questions. It is sometimes easier to share and learn when we are in a new relationship, building trust and getting to know each other. No matter what your relationships look like, don't be afraid to share your faith when you are prompted, that is the Holy Spirit. Being true to your beliefs is an important component to relationships. It says something about how you value your relationship with God.

Pray daily, ask God to give you wisdom to say what others NEED to hear and to be who you are. Your job is to simply love people and share God's love with them. Sealing the deal is between that person and God, so don't beat yourself up if you have a garden variety of relationships. Some plants that get the most exposure to light and nutrients flourish, some take their time to develop. Be patient.

Please continue to pray for Ginny R. This week.

In your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
