Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Forgiveness

I wonder what Pilate thought when he watched the crucifixion of Jesus. Maybe he didn't watch and he just hid away, trying to avoid the sounds of the crowds and the commotion as Jesus carried the cross.

Have you ever had to witness the consequences of your choices. Watching as someone else takes the blame for your mistake. Hiding away while you know that bad financial choice is going to be found out as soon as your spouse opens the mail. Ever watch the look on your child's face when your words cut with disappointment and cruelty. Sometimes the things we do hurt people.

John 19:16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.

We are pretty good at apologizing when we do things wrong. We even teach our children the art "Go and say your sorry!!"....."Sorry"....."now, go over there and mean it"...."I'm so..rrry"......Do you think things would change if we started asking for forgiveness? I mean really...."Will you forgive me for pushing you away?" This is where we don't like this part, we have to wait for a response from whoever we hurt. We could wait moments, we could wait years. What if they don't want to forgive? Do they have to forgive you?

While it may take our friends, family and co-workers some time to forgive our mistakes, Our God already has. He is simply waiting for you to come to Him with a heart ready to receive it.

Luke 24:46-48 He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.

Please pray for Verla K this week.
