Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

King

King
by Heather Collver

So what are we in it for? What makes us want to worship God as our King? Is it the promise of the Kingdom he is preparing for us?

I think of all those info-mercials. The one's that have a gimmick and promise you a result that is appealing. At one point or another, the story of Jesus going to the cross as a sacrifice for our sins was appealing because it means we get to go to heaven and inherit the Kingdom of God. But we don't have to wait for that inheritance. The Kingdom of God is already here and we need to act as though we are in the royal family. We need to defend the kingdom, enlarge it's territory, heal the sick, etc... Now is the time to represent our family. Think about the royal families in the world today. Those who are in high places. They are not ever going to be able to rule the heavens and the earth. Jesus said "If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you" Matt 12:28. Isn't it time we start living under the authority and the grace that we were created for?

Dear Lord we honor you today for you are the creator of the heavens and the earth and you rule over everything. Nothing can be hidden from you. Clean out our minds and our hearts so that we are willing to serve you and love you with all our heart, mind and souls, so that we can be the people you created us to be. I praise you for your grace and for giving us more than we deserve so many times. Be with the weak, the widows and the orphans and the hungry, work in our hearts today so that we are a people who reflect your heart. Amen

Pray for our family as we are still going through all the aftermath of the house flooding. I have been ill for over a month now. Am on 2 antibiotics for the Pnemonia that just won't go away. Pray for our finances as they have been heavily burdened this last month. Pray for our dog to heal from her surgery and that our vehicle will not need major repairs. Please pray for peace as we have several transitions this year, one going into Kindergarten, one starting Middle School and I am taking a leap of faith to stop doing childcare and work more for our Photography Business. Praise that God has been so near and that he has taken care of our needs during this time. H.C.

Thank you all for praying.
