King of Kings
by Heather Collver
Why is it so hard for us to recognize Him? Do we look for signs that He is here? Are we waiting on Him? Looking for the promises of His coming?
In Matthew 2:2 The wise men had been waiting. They had studied the scriptures, they knew what to look for, what to do when the King of Kings arrived. They were certain that the Word of God was true and they never doubted it. What an amazing promise to hold on to.
I think about elections. The one's that want to be voted into office usually speak of things they will do, what they want to accomplish. God sent his one and only son here to accomplish great works, to be our King. We didn't even vote Him in, but God came through with his promises. Are there people in office that have let you down, broken their promises. Where should we put our hope and trust?
Life is not always going to be easy. There are always going to be things that draw us away from truly worshipping our King. Other than reading His word and praying, what are other ways that you can keep his promises near to your heart, stay close to his ways and recognize his mighty works and power?
Please pray with me this week for Devotional member Sam C. Thanks so much.
Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.
Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.
