Do you ever ask a question you really don't want to hear the answer to. I don't know if Habakkuk expected a real answer or not but he got one.
Habakkuk 1: 6 I am raising up the Babylonians,
that ruthless and impetuous people,
who sweep across the whole earth
to seize dwelling places not their own.
Now, wait just a minute. Did God just say He was raising these people up? Justice doesn't always come in the answer we want. Judah had become corrupt and separated its self from God once again.
Often times God wants nothing more than to point you back in His direction. Sometimes He uses the consequences of our own choices to show us His face. Sometimes He uses the things in life that seem so overwhelming and wicked so that we can learn to rely on Him.
God so desperately wants a relationship with His people. Who are we to judge the methods He uses to get our attention?
Habakkuk 2:1 I will stand at my watch
and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint.
Are you waiting for the answers to your complaints? Be patient God will answer you. He hears your cries and He has a plan.
Please pray for Sue O this week.
