Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Caleb: Faith

Faith isn't always about not know what the future holds but remember what He has already done for us.

Numbers 14:20-25 The LORD replied, "I have forgiven them, as you asked. Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the LORD fills the whole earth,  not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times- 23 not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it. Since the Amalekites and Canaanites are living in the valleys, turn back tomorrow and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea."

Imagine yourself in the midst of the mass exodus, you are going to be free and God provides and lives up to every promise He has made you and your people. Now, it is time for you to trust in Him and possibly do something that requires faith. You have to stand up to obstacles that can only be overcome with God by your side. Instead of standing up and moving in obedience, you complain and grumble and wish slavery back onto your family.

There are often times in this life when we wonder how we got to where we are. We stand in the middle of chaos, of bad choices and disobedience not unlike the 40 years of the wilderness that the Israelites encountered. How did we get here? Did we forget the promises God made to us? Have you forgotten already the sacrifice made for you? Have you chosen slavery over the promises of God?

I believe Faith is a fruit of the spirit because it comes and goes. There are times that it is abundant in our lives and trusting God is a natural state of the lives we live. Other times, it takes every part of us just to trust that He is really there for us. Faith requires us to be doing something, it requires trust and it requires us to remember the things God has already done for us. Just as you pray to be more kind, more loving, have more patience, don't forget to pray for Faith.

Please continue to pray for Jennifer S
