Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Tomorrow

Proverbs 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow,
For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Do you ever wonder why scripture reminds us time and time again to not live in the future?

I don't think God minds if we have savings accounts and plan for rainy days and have a 5 year plan for our goals. It does however become a terrible thing when we wrap ourselves in our planning and forget to live in this moment and in this day.

I lost someone close to me a few years ago, she was only 3 years old. A complete reminder that life is lived not in our plans but in this very time and place. It is lived in the relationships you have today, not the ones from the future. It was a reminder that there is not a guarantee for the tomorrow.

No matter how much control you want to have over the future, don't be so sure of the outcome that you end up living in oppression and defeat because of disappointment.

The biggest lie the status quo tells you is that "Later would be the perfect time to be extraordinary." (Facebook status quote from Jonathon Christopher)

It isn't the beginning or the end that counts. It is the adventure and journey that changes lives. If you wonder what God could possible do with you today, be open to what he puts in front of you. Lives are changed when we start to believe that God's will is accomplished in relationships. It is in the loving, caring and compassion that we give today. Not tomorrow, not in all your plans, but in this very moment, the next phone call, the next email, the next lunch date, the next dinner invitation.

Live in this moment.

Please continue to pray for Janice J this week.

I get so wrapped up in making lists and making plans that I do forget to focus on the here and now. Thanks for the reminder.
