Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Provoke

Proverbs27:3
A stone is heavy and the sand weighty,
But the provocation of a fool is heavier than both of them.

As a Christian it can be difficult to draw boundaries. We often assume that our responsibility to love means to shrug off people that cause strife in our lives. We often forget that God's love comes unconditionally but also with discipline.

We can draw lines in the sand with those we love. We can decide that some people in our lives need to know that their gossip, slander, and meanness won't be tolerated. Can we do it lovingly, most certainly. I hope this verse gives you permission to tell some people in your life that their behaviors are no longer acceptable. In love, we can hold people accountable for their actions.

Jesus promises a burden that is light when we walk with Him. If you have someone close to you that provokes unhealthy behaviors, that causes undo stress, start praying. God will show you the best way to confront and love on that person.

Luke 21:34-35"Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.

"House of Courage Had to suspend services. Sent away three teen moms and their babies and turned away a 17 year old and her newborn baby. Looking for ways to re-open soon!" You may not know this name, please check out the website http://www.houseofcourage.org/. My mom began this organization after I ended up pregnant and married to an abuser. In 1996, I had few choices to make, but I made them all in 1 week. May 25th- my son came home from the hospital (he was 11 weeks early 2lbs 13oz), May 29th - I filed for divorce, and June 1st- I graduated from high school. All in one week. The church left little support, only judgement. My mom couldn't stand by and watch other girls go through that with no support. This is where House of Courage begins. I can't sit by and watch it just end. Please, if there is anything, anyway to help get the word out. We preach that abortion is murder, but then turn our backs on those who choose life! Feel free to call me 865-363-1799, or my Mom, Bonnie Skolfield 865-310-9671, if there is anyway you could help. House of Courage is a non-profit 501c3 organziation located in Knoxville, TN.-- Sue O
