Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Not Ready Yet?!

Proverbs 27: 8
Like a bird that strays from its nest
is a man who strays from his home.

Here is what the Message translation says:
People who won't settle down, wandering hither and yon,
are like restless birds, flitting to and fro.

About 7 years ago I went to a convention for Discovery Toys in Ohio. The speaker was Tony Robins. I was so excited to hear everything that he had to say. He was very motivational and my business was a great success because of the skills I learned through his teachings. Not only did it help me become a better businesswoman, I also learned something profound through just a few words. Tony was talking about how many people just can't settle down in life. Whether it be their jobs (which many 30 year olds have already had an average of 4-7 career changes by the age of 35), or their relationships, or they just move around everywhere.

One reason that he stated was that we get hurt deeply and we don't deal with it. We build walls and when a similar experience happens to us, we run from it, we try to make a change, so we switch jobs, or we break off a relationship or we move somewhere else. We may even sabotage our own happiness because we begin to make it a pattern. We can develop wealth and a community of friends and businesspeople and even an amazing social group, but we are willing to run when things don't go our way. But..... the one thing he said was so simple. He said "you can run and you can hide, but when you get in front of the mirror, you are still there, you can't get away from yourself." Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!!!!!!

How many times have we been our own worst enemy? Have we pushed something to the far reaches of our thoughts and it keeps trying to fester and work it's way out so that we can deal with it? What has our reaction been? Do we tend to push it back again, run from it or conceal it with something new? Have you ever considered the freedom that would come from just releasing that thing, that hurt to God. Be it the act of forgiving someone for something that you have no idea why they would even deserve forgiveness or be it the fact that you have hurt someone else and have not found the words or the humility to express your sorrow and ask for forgiveness?

Jesus died for us to forgive us ALL our sins. Is it right for us to accept this gift and not be willing to give the same gift to others? Is it right for us to say that we don't need to forgive someone yet, or we just won't do it because of what they did? Jesus forgave us, we should forgive others. Bottom line. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Praise and Prayer:

We didn't have many prayer requests today, but there were a few critical ones and some praises, thanks for sharing:

Thanks for praying for me this week. It seems as though the older my children get (everyday) the more I ask myself, what's next? I know He is calling me to the desires He put in my heart when I was knee deep in diapers and snotty noses. I'm here. I'm listening. I pray that I am ready! Bless you friend. Anna

Mike has been getting infusions of medication for the CMV virus at the SCCA clinic after being released from hospital Monday evening.
His blood counts have stayed low up until today (which is good because Mikel's cells have better chance of overcoming Mike's to cause grafting). The white count came up (which they don't want as it may make Mike's cells attack Mikel's which can cause host vs graft disease). They may put him back on two of the medications per day as they did in the hospital.
He is tolerating the medication today better as they give him benedryl and ativan. He gets really cold when he is getting it so I get him warm blankets for his body and his head. Then when they go to hydration his body warms up. His body has been put through a lot for a procedure that they have no history on here (Haploidal Transplant on person with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.)
Pray for graft vs lymphoma. We would very much like to see the protocols that the doctors have put together for the chemos and radiations, and following the Haplo protocol by Dr. O'Donnell be the cure for this beastly MCL.
Need to get back up to his room so until next time...

Please pray for Carol Collins who took a turn for the worst after a procedure this week. She was sent to ICU and has developed an infection and they have called the family in to be with her. They don't expect for her to survive. Please pray. HC
