K, Day 1
Last week I started looking for the right word to write about this week. In our series, this means I needed to find a word that starts with K and touches on the subject of our minds, thoughts and emotions. At first, the only word that came to mind was Kindness. I am one of those people that wants to go deep, learn while I am teaching. Kindness seemed too easy. I looked in my Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary and found several words that fit my criteria. Before I knew it, I was overwhelmed with information and have found it hard to choose just one word. I know this about myself, it is hard to make decisions sometimes. So I am going to give you a few words today with their meanings. Will you let me know which one sounds good to you. I have studied each of them and would be happy to expand on them and share some insight. I indicated the direction I will go after each definition. Let me know what you are interested in.

Please pray for Courtney D. this week.
Dear Lord,
I pray that the group will be open today to choose what they would want to learn about. Lord, I ask that you guide me in this weeks devotional, that you will be given the glory for this study. Lord, I pray that we all find time to spend with you in praise and prayer and that we learn to be more devoted to you in this devotional series. Thank you Lord, Amen.

I am torn between knowledge or knees. These days it is hard to stay focused and uplifted. It's a great time to get down on our knees and pray for the future. Knowledge is also a good word for these days as we need to work on obtaining knowledge and educating ourselves on the decisions we will be making in the future. We need to be obtaining knowledge about the people that could be affecting our future.
There's my two cents.

My first vote is for Kindness (this is purely selfish as I have to write on Kindness for the church blog this week. Fruit of the Spirit thing.) I think my real vote is for knees. I am interested in knowing why sometimes being on my knees feels more right than raising hands during worship
