Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Freedom Day 1

I hope everyone had a great Holiday. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful hike with friends yesterday. Part of our hike came to an overlook. A rock that jetted out of the mountain as you overlook the Cumberland Plateau in TN. It was amazing and a beautiful reminder of how creative and divine our Creator is. Standing on the edge of the rocks I was reminded of freedom, my freedom in Christ and how it takes my breath away.

I would like to kick things of this week with not a feeling but a state of being. Sometimes our perspective can influence who we are and how we react to situations.

freedom (from dictionary.com)
1. the condition of being free; the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints
2. immunity from an obligation or duty
Isaiah 61:1-3
Exaltation of the Afflicted
1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
Because the LORD has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Please pray for Julz Y this week.
