Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Worship

Worship is a covenant and call from our Lord to come before Him and meet with Him with reverence, gladness, and joy.

It is a call to know Him intimately and express appreciation to Him with praise and thanksgiving, doing so with passion, sincerity, conviction, and in reverent fear and trembling. Worship is the aptitude, attitude, and practice of expressing the desire to know our Lord and Savior further, and being grateful for Who He Is and what He has done for us. Worship is the giving of our best to Him. And, we do this because we are His; we give Him our heart that is already His. He has given His best to us already; in addition, we are enveloped into His eternal love and care for pure and useful purposes. (from discipleshiptools.org)

Philippians 2:10-11
10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Day 2

Exodus 15:20-21 Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took the timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dancing.
Miriam answered them,
"Sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted;
The horse and his rider He has hurled into the sea."

Miriam, Moses' sister, gives us a beautiful picture here. She is actually the first to give worship in song and dance in scripture. Can you imagine her joy? Can you feel how free she is? Her God has just freed all of her people from Egypt...

Day 3

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. ~Romans 12:1

There are so many forms of worship, singing and dancing and service. If you took out your Sunday morning worship service at your church, what ways is your life worshipping the Creator of the Universe?

Day 4

Fellowship is an important part of our faith. We learn and we teach together as the Body of Christ. It is important to remember that it is you, your personal relationship, that God wants.

Psalm 2:11 Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.

Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array.

Revelations 14:7 and he said with a loud voice, " Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters."

Day 5

I would like to challenge you to take a look at your life. How do you worship? When things are great in your life, kids are healthy and you are getting along with your spouse, do you give Thanks for the beauty of that peacefulness? When life is tough and you are wondering why, can you find the joy in knowing that your God has overcome it all?

The next time you are in an emotion situation, challenge yourself to give God the credit or your attention.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the beauty that surrounds us all. My life was given to you so long ago and sometimes I get lost in the rituals of the Sunday morning worship service. Forgive me for not worshipping you in my own time. Forgive me for making my worship a ritual and not always genuine. I love you lord for all that you do and are to me. Thank you for your sacrifice. ~In His precious name.
