Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

Love

Love
Day 1
Love
(Websters dictionary) To regard with affection, to like, to delight in. To be in love; to be tenderly attached. Warm affection; fond attachment; the passion between the sexes, the object beloved a word of endearment, Cupid, the god of love;the score of nothing at tennis.
(Bible) . The high esteem that God has for His human children and the high regard which they, in turn, should have for Him and other people
There are hundreds of references in the Bible concerning love.
The Bible is the most remarkable book about Love in the world, recording the greatest love story ever told, God's unconditional love for us that he gave His son to die on the cross.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 shows us that God's love is not static or self-centered;it reaches out and draws others in. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships - when you love someone dearly, you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice. god paid dearly with the life of his Son, the highest price he could pay. When we share this with others, our love must be like Jesus'- willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God's love.
1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Love explains why:
God creates- because he loves, he creates people to love
God cares - because he loves them, he cares for sinful people.
We are free to choose - because God wants a loving response from us.
Christ died- his love for us caused him to offer a solution to the problem of sin
We receive eternal life - God's love expresses itself to us forever.
Day 2
A loving God
Love is not only one of God's attributes; it is also an essential part of His nature.
Deuteronomy 7:7-8 7 The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
"God is Love," the Bible declares the personification of perfect love.
1 John 4:8,16 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. ; And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Such love surpasses our powers of understanding.
Ephesians 3:19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Love like this is everlasting.
Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:
“ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.
Free.
Hosea 14:4
“ I will heal their backsliding,
I will love them freely,
For My anger has turned away from him.
Sacrificial.
(John 3:16)
Enduring to the end.
John 13:1
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
Day 3
Questions and reflections
1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
John says, "God is Love," not "Love is God," Our world, with its shallow and selfish view of love, has turned these words around and contaminated our understanding of love. The world thinks that love is what makes a person feel good and that it is all right to sacrifice moral principles and others' rights in order to obtain such "love". But that isn't real love; it is the exact opposite - selfishness. And God is not that kind of "love". Real love is like God, who is holy, just, and perfect. if we truly know God, we will love as he does and reflect his nature.
What do you think about this statement?
Are there times you have believed that love is what makes a person feel good?
Have you sacrificed your moral principles in order to obtain love? Did you actually obtain love this way?
On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being Just like God, where would you fall in this area of love? What have you learned this week that can help you to love like God?
Day 4
Taking Action
God's love is a personal love. he wants to have a unique relationship with you.
When you pray, ask God to reveal Himself to you. Simply say, "I want to know You."
Then allow space in your life for God to speak to you through His Spirit.
When you study the Bible, imagine it was written just for you. Study the way God acts in Scripture.
Get to know His characteristics.
Look for the many different ways God shows love to his people.

Make a list of how God has personally shown his love to you. Is that enough proof of His love? How can you make your story one that could show others the love that God has given to you?
Day 5
Praise the Lord for the Love that each of us has the opportunity to share with others.
Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5
May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5
God our Savior showed us his kindness and love. Titus 3:4
God does not love us because we are valuable. We are valuable because God loves us. - Fulton J. Sheen
If God takes your lump of clay and remolds it, it will be on the basis of love and not on the basis of power over you. - James Conway.
Praises from this week:
Lord, thank you for your word, which teaches us about Love. I am usually a girly girl, love stories, movies and letters just grasp my heart. Reading your word gives me comfort and it fills me up like nothing else has, can or ever will. Lord, help me to be equipped with the willingness to share you with everyone. I know you will be in those details, but I need boldness and I need strength. In this world, it is hard to turn off the brain and let go of the fear of rejection. Please go ahead of me and prepare the hearts of all those that I will boldly step out and teach about your love. Whisper softly, my love, tell me when it is time to share you and when it is only time to show you. May my life and my words reflect your love always. Amen.
