Carry each other"s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Women of Worship is a group of men and women with a desire to express love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We hunger for God's word, support one another in prayer and desire a closer relationship with Him.

Heather and I feel that God has put a genuine desire in our hearts to share His word with people. This blog is our attempt to get the Word of God to our friends in a practical and loving way. We are hoping to create a community of people that strengthen one another for the Kingdom of God. No matter where you are in your walk you are welcome here. Please feel free to share prayer requests, opinions, questions or anything that you feel led to say.

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead

Colossians 1:9-10
9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Ephesians 1:17-23
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Day 2

I want to know you...
I want to see your face...
I want to hear your voice....
I want to know you more....

How do I know God more? I want an intimate knowledge of my creator. I desire to be familiar; to recognize His words and His deeds.

In order to attain an intimate relationship with God we must have knowledge of Him. Like being in love, my passion for my faith is exciting. But, in order to see the real beauty of my God I must know His history, His desires and His plan. If I want to hear Him, I must know His needs, His pain and sacrifices. If I want to know God, I must know His Word.

Day 3

2Peter 1:3-9

3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

What do we receive through knowledge?

List the qualities we should posses.

What will happen if we don't have these qualities?

Day 4

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. ~2 Corinthians 4:6

Knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. ~Proverbs 9:10

14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 15For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? 17Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God. ~2 Corinthians 2:14-17

We have a great responsibility. We live freely by grace but are called to be a living example of God's love to people who have not heard the Good News. It takes more then just knowing God but having a knowledge of Him, His love and His sacrifice.

Day 5

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in you,

for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Sing praises to the LORD, enthroned in Zion;

proclaim among the nations what he has done. ~Psalm 9:9-11

Praise God for what He has done. This weekend, many of us will be observing the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Take time with your family and with your love ones to acknowledge the greatness of His sacrifice. Read Jesus' prayer at the Garden of Gethsemane. Remember that His sacrifice was made for you.

Heavenly Father, Great Creator I am in awe of your majesty and the greatness of your mercy and grace. May I be more obedient to read your word and desire an intimate knowledge of who you are. Lord, give me the wisdom to understand the great responsibility you have given me to be a light in this world. Lord, I pray for those that will come to Easter services this weekend, may those that don't know you yet, hear you name and want to know more of you.
